Using the Pinhole Surgical Technique, a small hole is first made in your gums, allowing Dr. Turner, our certified Pinhole clinician, to add collagen material to stabilize the area of gum recession in your mouth. This innovative method is simple, suture-free, minimally invasive, and significantly less painful than a technique that cuts gum tissue.
What’s the difference between Pinhole Surgical Technique and Soft Tissue Grafting?
Traditional grafting involves rebuilding the gum line by suturing donor tissue in place, allowing it to join with the existing tissue and heal over time. Although soft tissue grafting is effective, Pinhole provides a better patient experience while delivering identical results.

Recovery and Aftercare
The recovery time for Pinhole Surgical Technique is remarkably short, and the pain is virtually nonexistent. Dr. Turner provides patients with extensive post-op care following the procedure. A soft diet is recommended for a short period after surgery, and we will schedule a series of follow-up appointments with you to ensure proper healing.
