Meet North Andover Periodontist Ian M. Turner, DDS
Dr. Turner has been practicing Periodontics and Implant Surgery for over 30 years in the Boston area. He continues to stay at the forefront of Periodontal and Implant treatment and attends meetings nationally and internationally to continually update his knowledge and skills. He enjoys collaborating with his patients and referring dentists during the treatment process and understands the importance of spending the time to listen to his patients so that there is a better understanding of their needs and concerns.
Dr. Turner was born and grew up in Montreal, Canada. After completing a BSc. in Physiology in 1986 at McGill University, he graduated from McGill Dental School in Montreal in 1990, followed by a Residency at the Montreal General Hospital. He then moved to the Boston area in 1991 and completed his post-graduate specialization in Periodontology at Tufts University in 2003.

Dr. Turner is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is also an active member of the International Team of Implantology and is a study club leader and organizer for Spear Dental Education.
Dr. Turner enjoys many hobbies and outdoor pursuits outside of his periodontal practice. He spends the winter months alpine skiing in Vermont, as well as in Canada and overseas. His love of the mountain environment extends to the summer months when he spends much of his leisure time hiking and trekking in some of the same regions as well as South America, East Africa, and North Africa. He also enjoys life in beautiful New England, especially road and gravel biking and sea kayaking during the warm summer months.
Dr. Turner is a devoted father with two children in their 20’s, both of whom have finished college and are now out in the working world. He enjoys spending time with them and is fortunate in that they share many similar interests. Apart from their professions both of them are accomplished ex alpine ski racers and continue to enjoy travel and the outdoors.
